Girls Aloud give bullies the boot
By DAVID LOWE
GIRLS Aloud will join millions taking The Big Stand today in a bid to give bullying the boot.
Already this week, tragic Rosi Boxall, 19, was hounded to death by happy slappers.
And an inquest into the death of Kelsey Jade Winter, 13, found she hanged herself over taunts about her ginger hair.
During the Beatbullying event, participants will stand up at 10am to show cowardly menaces they won’t be tolerated.
Tragically, at least 20 kids a year commit suicide because they’re being picked on.
And worrying statistics show a whopping 55.5 per cent of pupils have been bullied, while 47 per cent have received nasty texts, emails or comments on social networking sites.
Beatbullying Chief Executive Emma-Jane Cross says: “Bullying is not just a problem inside schools.
“Young people are bullied outside of school, and increasingly find themselves the target of cyber-bullying at home.
“All forms of bullying are unacceptable, and everybody has a responsibility to tackle it wherever it occurs.”
Click on the small pictures above to meet four young people who endured merciless bullying - and are determined to make sure no-one else goes through the same misery.
Well done, you found the internet. You also found the one thing that it was never meant to be subjected to; Total disregard for what was originally meant to be a sport for the masses.
Lets start with the Rangers fans. The War of Manchester? I wonder how long you would last in a real War. WW1 for example, and having to suffer trench foot. Or WW2 and being deafened by the blasts. This wasn't a war, this was total idiocracy run amok.
And what about those Chelsea fans. I enjoyed watching Chelsea play recently, even though I'm not a football fan myself, but if the fans aren't smart enough to not bite the hand that feeds them so to speak, then thier going to bring the club down ten fold. Time to grow up!
What is the world coming to? There's just simply too much hate for people to put down their knives, guns, and so called 'pimped up cars', which ironically do look like a pimp with a broken nose.
Was this a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time? No. This was the local idiots prancing around acting 'hard', failing, and showing everybody with half a brain what prats they really are.
For your sakes, I hope this man survives. The world could do with a little less pain...

The mum of murdered Goth girl Sophie Lancaster hit out last night after the yobs who killed her daughter launched a bid to get thier jail terms reduced
Ryan Herbert, 16, and Brendan Harris, 15 kicked 20-year-old Sophieto death as she tried to stop them savagely beating her boyfriend in a park.
The feral thugs - who attacked the couple because of thier Goth clothes - are now appealing, claiming their 16 and 18-year sentences are "too severe".
Sophie's mum Sylvia said: "This appeal shows them for what they are."
Student Sophie's boyfriend Robert Maltby, 22, added: "It shows that even after being found guilty, they still don't believe they've done anything wrong.
"Whatever sentence they end up serving is nothing compared to mine and Sylvia's."
Herbert and Harris, of Bacup, Lancs, were called "wild animals" by the judge who sentenced them in April. they lodged papers at London's Court of Appeal just weeks after the yobs who killed dad Garry Newlove made similar bids.
Three pals of Herbert and Harris - jailed for GBH on Robert - have also appealed. Their cases will go before a High Court judge to decide if there should be a full appeal.
A BOY aged 13 hanged himself after being bullied on social networking website bebo - for liking Emo rock bands
Sensitive Sam Leeson was bombarded with cruel messages because of his long hair and dark clothes.
His tormentors also mocked his love of Emo stars such as My Chemical Romance and thier angst-ridden lyrics.
Sam was found hanged in his bedroom after months of abuse. Last night police launched a probe into his ordeal - as his shattered family blasted the website.
Grief-stricken mum Sally, 45, demanded a crackdown on sites that let themselves be hijacked by bullies. She said: "Sam was such a loving boy. He was into his appearance and often wore his black skinny jeans. If anything can come from this utterly pointless death of a lovely boy we want to try to help."
It was not known if the bullies were from his school. Distraught pals yesterday laid dozens of floral tributes at the gates and left more than 100 messages. Many wore black ties.
Smiley
Peter Rowland, the head at Severn Vale School in Quedgekey, Gloucs, insisted Sam was a "happy, smiley boy" who had never complained of bullying.
He said: "Staff and students are shocked and saddened. Sam was a popular student in year 9. We are all working to make sense of this event."
Sam's dad Christopher was too distraught to speak yesterday. The youngster's four sisters and two brothers were being comforted at thier home in Tredworth. Eldest girl Emma, 22, told how there was "name-calling about the whole Emo thing." She said: "Bullying had been going on and we are disgusted and angry."
One shocked girl pal left a message on the web saying: "Can't believe what happened to you. Some people are sick to bully you so far that you killed yourself. Ay least you're safe now."
Another wrote: "I couldn't believe it when I heard what some shallow people had made you do. I hope they live with the guilt for the rest of thier lives."
A Youtube tribute to the schoolboy posted by his friends bore the message: "Sam was a normal kid but because of his style he got bullied." Bebo refused to comment.
